Day Four of Training!!

Day four of training was wonderful!!! We learned how to screen capture.  We also learned about open sources.  I actually downloaded a great one called Open Office.  It is so cool!!! It totally kills the need for microsoft office.  We also did digital story telling.  It was really fun yet complicated.  Our group did a project about Biology, which happens to be my favorite subject.  It was a blast.

Day Three of Training!!

Today was so fun yet insightful!! We learned to use Promethean Boards!!  I feel that if used properly they will be a wonderful tool to use in the classroom. They are great!! We also practice our proffesional greetings, observations, and visitations.  It was a great day for us to bounce ideas with each other.  Can't wait until tomorrow!!

Day Two of Training!!

Day two of training was great. We learned how to add podcasts to our blogger accounts. That was pretty neat. We also learned how to use Windows Movie Maker. This product has been on my laptop since I purchased it and I never even attempted to open it. Yet, once we were started using it I realized I knew way more than I thought I knew. We also did a group video and our group had the topic of team work. I really enjoyed working with my group and we showed great teamwork while making our video. We had technical difficulties and I was able to network with other interns in other groups to get the problem done. That was great because Ginny is only one person and she can't help every group with every little detail. The video maker would have been great for my online public speaking class. Once my digital camera kept going out for some unknown reason. This made my speech break into four different parts so, instead of sending my teacher one smooth video I was forced to send her four different videos of one three minute speech!!

Day One of Training!!

Today we learned about a great array of valuable tools.  One of the wonder features we learned about was podcasting.  This will be a lovly asset to use in the classroom!  It will help teachers get students more involved and it will also make more information "stick" with the students!! I really enjoyed the first day of training and I can't wait until tomorrow!!
